Valerie Dillard Obituary
VALERIE JEAN DILLARD was born January 17, 1958 to the late Louise Dillard Jones and Richard White in Wayne, MI. She was the oldest to her sister Denise.
At the young age of seven, her grandmother Claranda Dillard continued in her daughters footsteps and raised Valerie. Under her grandmother's care, she received much of her childhood education from the Romulus School District and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
As a young adult in High School Valerie moved with her Auntie Elizabeth Dillard and completed her education graduating from Romulus High School.
Valerie worked in many different fields ranging from Home Health Care and the Food Industry until she was no longer able to work. She was an active member of the New Birth Church under the leadership of Rev. Joseph A. Stephens.
Her favorite past times were spending time with her family, watching Soap Operas and she loved helping everyone around her. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great friend.
Valerie departed this life on September 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kesha Dillard.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one devoted son, Jerel Dillard (Inkster, MI); one loving daughter, Victoria Booker (Westland, MI); one granddaughter, Amelia "Mill-Mill" Dillard; one aunt, Lottie (Eddie) Jackson (Las Vegas, NV); one sister, Denise Jones (Detroit, MI); best friend, Brenda Parker, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
