Kimberly Josey Obituary
Kimberly Ann (Kim) was born October 21, 1970 in the city if Hampton, Virginia. She was the only child of Frances and Jerry Blake. Kimberly Ann grew up in a loving home where the core values of compassion, faith, fairness, education, responsibility and self-respect was emphasized. Kimberly Ann's life was a manifestation of those values taught to her by her parents. Indeed Kimberly's passion for her life's work in the taxation and accounting field was nurtured by watching her father prepare clients taxes in their home in Virginia as a child.
Kimberly received her elementary, middle, and high school education in the city of Hampton. She graduated from Bethel High School in 1988, where she was a four-year varsity cheerleader. In high school she also played the clarinet. Kimberly Ann went on to further her education at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993. She later moved to Atlanta, GA where she studied to earn her masters degree at Georgia Tech.
In 1995, Kimberly moved to Detroit, Michigan and started her own business; Agape Accounting & Credit Solutions, Inc. She provided tax preparation, credit counseling, credit restoration, financial planning, setting up businesses, bookkeeping and accounting services to people all over the country. Her life was not only dedicated to her work in the office, but also helping others in need. Whether it was praying for someone who was in sickness in their body or simply picking up someone else's check at a restaurant, Kimberly loved being able to help others, thus leading her to become a published author in 2008. "Str8 From The Heart: Healing For Your Soul" was a book of poetry to help others get through tough times in their lives.
Kimberly passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on July 4, 2018. She is lived on through her husband, Victor Josey; her three loving children; Samuel Isaiah, Judah Annais, and Janae Attarah, her parents; Jerry and Frances Blake; brother Brandon Blake; uncle, aunts, and a host of family and friends.
