Kevin Goggins

Kevin Arthur Goggins was born May 9, 1964 in Detroit Michigan to Rose Eason and Thomas Goggins Jr. Kevin was the only child of Rose and Thomas. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Thomas Goggins Jr. and grandmother Eula B. Webster.Kevin who affectionately known as K.G. He moved to Inkster as a child. Kevin attended Inkster Public Schools until High School. Once Kevin reached high school he was granted a scholarship to Bishop Borgess high school for his exceptional football abilities. Kevin met his future wife and life partner Liz in August of 1985, whom he married on August 31, 1990. They were best friends and where affectionately known as peanut butter and jelly. To this union three children was born, two sons Jarriel Goggins, Khari Goggins, and one daughter April Hall.Kevin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of ten with the assistance of his grandfather. He was a member of Detroit World Outreach Church since 1997. Kevin served in the bus ministry and MOV. Whenever he was called upon to serve the Lord he did it with a servant's heart.Kevin was employed with Unistruit Steel for 25 years until his retirement in September of 2016. He became part owner of Cutz Lounge the grooming shop in November of 2015.Kevin never met a stranger. He had a heart for the downtrodden. Kevin regularly stopped and shared food and introduced Jesus Christ to lost souls. He had a listening ear and heart and gave his all to people and to those he loved. Kevin gave a voice to those without voice and love to those who needed love. He was the true definition of time, talent, and treasure.Kevin leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life his wife of almost 27 years Liz; mother Rose; three children Jarriel (Sharney), Khari and April (Tyree); aunt Margie; cousins Donavan and Danielle; mother-in-law Linda Jones; father-in-law Milton Scott; brother-in-laws Dominic, Tirrell, Dushawn (Angel), Dante (Rachelle); two granddaughters Samaria and Simora, and a host of family and friends.
