Born in Puryear, Tennessee on November 18, 1931 to the late Arthur and Alpha May Tharpe. He was called to rest on June 11, 2017 with his wife and daughter by his side.
Isaac accepted Christ into his life and was baptized on Sunday, December 7, 1980 at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. He joined the Navy at an early age and served the military for over twenty years. Shortly after retiring from the Navy, he became employed by United Airlines at Detroit Metro Airport where he worked for twenty-one years prior to his retirement in 1994.
Isaac leaves to cherish his memory, his faithful and loving wife, Queenie M. Tharpe; daughters Lisea Billingslea (Reginald) and Paula Tharpe; sons, Andre Williams, Jr., Isaac M. Tharpe, Jr., and Jason Tharpe; brother, Richard Tharpe (Nell); three sisters, Eva Tharpe, Laura Wynn and Nadine Blythe and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
