Edythe Dillard Obituary

EDYTHE CAROLL BRADSHAW was born April 21, 1938 in Jochin, West Virginia to Edward and Julia Mae Bradshaw. She was the oldest girl in a family of six children. Beverly Jackson, Marva Bradshaw, also known as Jackie and two brothers, James and Kevin preceded her in death.

The family moved to Inkster Michigan, in 1953. Edythe attended the Inkster Public School system. Edythe was hired by General Motors and worked as an assembler. On December 17, 1971, Edythe was united in marriage to Sammy Dillard. He also preceded her in death.

Edythe's biggest passion was cooking. She loved to grill. She was known for her barbecue and for making the "best" potato salad. She enjoyed inviting others over to feast at her table.

Edythe had no children, but she had several nieces and nephews whom she liked to boss around. They all loved it, and they loved her.

God was very gracious to Edythe. On September 10, 2017, she finally surrendered to His call. She left this life for a better world on Monday, September 25, 2017, after a long illness.

Edythe leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Joyce Garrett. Nieces: Deborah Bradshaw, Kimberly Bradshaw, Robin Bradshaw, Michelle Bradshaw and Nia Talley. Nephews: Angelo Brown, Brian Bradshaw, Brandon Bradshaw, Stephen Bradshaw, Charles Wade, sister-in-law, Lottie Jackson and her long time friend, Ruth Hale.
