Clifford Newson Obituary

Clifford LaBron Newson was born July 29, 1950 to Lester Robert Newson and Francis Gravitt in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Clifford was the third child born of six children. In 1959, Lester Newson moved to Inkster, Michigan with Clifford and Marlowe Newson. The other siblings stayed in Tennessee.

Clifford lived in Inkster, Michigan and went to Inkster Public Schools and attended Inkster High School.

In 1969 Clifford first son was born, LaShawn Dontez Crenshaw. Clifford married Sharain Hampton, there was no children born to this union. In 1990 second son was born, Dwan Newson.

Clifford LaBron Newson also known as "Cliff", Uncle Bron, Bron Bron, was a man that played by his own rules. He did what he wanted to do whether you liked it or not. He had choice words for you if you disagreed. He enjoyed reading books, and would finish a novel in two days. He enjoyed music and dancing, one of his favorite artist was Tracy Chapman.

On February 8, 2015 cold winter day, Clifford decided he wanted to be Baptized. He was baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins, His words were "This water is cold."

Earlier this year Clifford became very sic, and was hospitalized and unable to communicate. He was discharged from the hospital to his sisters home. Clifford began to eat again, laugh, walk, sing again, it was amazing to see.

On November 9, 2017 he departed from this life to an eternal life. He is now in the hands of God.

He was preceded in death by: his Mother Francis, father Lester Newson, brothers, Larry Newson, Marlowe Newson, and Ronald Dwight Newson.

He leaves to cherish his memories; two sons Lashawn Dontez Crenshaw, Dwan Newson, Londrea (Like his son); one sister Velma Jean Newson; one brother Walter Gravitt; three granddaughters Kennedy, Madison, and Hannah Crenshaw; four nieces, Janaya (Gerald) James, Afrika Johnson, LaToya Newson, and Sabrina Newson; nephews: Larry Pleas, Dontez, Lonnie, Warren, Kevin, and Tony; 13 great-nieces and nephews; three great-great niecws and nephews, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends that loved him.
