Charlie was born January 8, 1953, the third of five children, in Earle, Arkansas to the parents of Lueceal Vaughn and Fred Neely. He departed from earth to eternal life on Sunday, October 22, 2017, after battling many health challenges throughout his life.
To those that loved him most, Charlie was affectionately known as "Chuck". While Chuck was on his life's journey, he moved from Earle, Arkansas to Inkster, Michigan with his mother and siblings. Although Chuck never worked, he made his contribution through his love of music, both writing and singing, he was not the Motown Review. Chuck was a simple man, who loved his family as well as other simple things in life such as walking and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lueceal Vaughn and Fred Neely; brother Eugene and sister Norma Jean Vaughn.
Chuck leaves to cherish his memories, two brothers, Larry Vaughn (Sherley) of Inkster, Michigan and Fabian Vaughn (Margie) of Westland, Michigan; sister-in-law Mary Wooden as well as three generations of nieces, nephews and other family and friends who loved him immensely.
